Why do sparks sometimes occur at terminals?

• Excessive current exceeding the wire’s rated capacity.

Solution: Use wire gauge no smaller than the rated current and ensure compatibility with the circuit breaker’s rated current.

• Poor contact, where significant current flows through only a small portion of the copper strands.

Solution: Ensure sufficient copper wire is exposed at the terminal connection to provide adequate contact area and prevent poor contact.

• Soft silicone wires are prone to sparking and may dislodge after tightening terminals.

Solution: As soft silicone wires contain numerous loose strands, terminal pressure can cause them to flatten and result in poor contact, soft silicone wire needs to crimp fixed the wire end with copper crimp before wiring to prevent this issue.
